Case Study Snapshot: Loss of License

A 55-year-old corporate pilot was employed by a large California tech firm to fly executives and business guests around the country on their large corporate jet.  His flight hours were consistent throughout the year, and his annual compensation was $275,000.  The pilot was unable to qualify for the firm’s group disability coverage because of his occupation.  Unfortunately, he was working many hours without any kind of income protection.

Petersen International provided the professional aviator with income protection though our comprehensive Loss of License program specifically designed to cover pilots.  We were able to insure 65% of his income with “own occupation” coverage and a monthly benefit schedule.
