This headline was created to increase the following of those who clamor for universal health care.
The bankruptcy causes are correct, but they were used incorrectly. Illness or injury causing the disablement of an income producer and creating LOSS OF INCOME is the cause. People have many creditors to satisfy, not singularly health care providers. Mortgages or rent, transportation, food, utilities, clothes and education are ongoing costs that must be paid.
Health insurance (medical) does not pay any creditors other tha n health care providers. An honest and accurate headline should have read:
