What is Adequate?

Over two-thirds of Americans do not have ADEQUATE disability coverage. What does this mean? It means that over 66% of our fellow citizens would feel something from a financial pinch to a devastating blow if any one of them became unable to earn a living due to a disability. When it comes to obtaining coverage for high-level incomes and sub-standard risks, one must typically venture to the special markets to do so. Sadly, many consumers, and even some agents, are unaware that at least 65% of income replacement insurance is the only amount that can be considered adequate, and they are further unaware that solutions exist if they are not able to acquire adequate coverage in the traditional markets. Disability experts understand the need for adequate disability insurance and make it a priority to assist their clients with securing it.
Petersen International Underwriters is committed to reducing the above statistic and to fulfilling adequate coverage by providing disability insurance products designed with consumers and producers in mind.
